My dear M:-

I am sorry to hear of your situation at “the Lake”. Of course I am going to do for you anything you have done. I should feel very much hurt to have you go elsewhere for anything I could give you, and I will try to give it to you quickly if you will decide on just what you want to do.

I had thought lately a number of times of running up to see you and I will gladly come next week to stay a few days until we can settle your affairs. I go to Rochester and Buffalo Sunday night to return here Thursday night or Friday morning and I could leave here Friday night for Minneapolis and stay until I had you “fixed up” to your satisfaction.

I dislike to think of your being badly cut up again in your building schemes. Perhaps we will have to draw lots and cast out Jonah. I fear I am Jonah-but I'll stick to you until I get you out of trouble. Your family can have anything I’ve got if they want it.

With love to you all from cj.

A clear PVC curtain is installed over the doorway connecting the gallery and office at Prairie. This object is not an artwork.

The artist provided Prairie staff with customized uniforms that they are required to wear during open hours. These clothes belong to them. They are also tasked with maintaining the artworks in the exhibition and caring for all visitors to the gallery.
